Someone once said “wake me up when September ends” - but honestly, on Solana there’s no such thing as sleep. September was another month full of energy and new developments.

At Neon, we kicked things off with our annual work retreat, where the team came together to strategize and map out the next stage of our journey. It was a chance to step back, align, and raise our ambitions. We can’t wait to unveil the results as we keep building!

Two fresh builder guides have been added to our blog:

• Indexing Neon - Blockchain indexers are like on-chain search engines, powering fast and reliable data access for your dApp. Neon supports SubSquid, The Graph, and Envio. This guide shows how to choose the right one or combine them.
• Route gas model the Solana way - Ethereum runs on gas; Solana runs on compute units. Neon unifies both into a single model that ensures predictable fees, accurate estimates, and seamless integration with existing EVM tools. This article breaks it down.

🌍 Events

Believe it or not, builders sometimes step away from the keyboard. September was our chance to meet them IRL and spread the EVM-on-Solana word:

• Our logo lit up the welcome dinner at Solana Startup Village in Singapore
• At EthSofia, our Head of Marketing, Vanina Ivanova, shared takes on Go-to-Market in Web3 during the Marketing Panel.
• And from EthCluj back in June: Vanina’s panel on community building is now live. Watch the recording!

🏎️ Builders & Community

We rolled out fresh ways for the community to learn and grow. From workshops to X panels, here are the recordings:

• Tech writing & AI Workshop - all the tips developers need to use AI for writing docs that actually slap.
• AMA with Atomic Wallet - we joined the Space to talk about how AI, memes, and market narratives are reshaping crypto beyond the hype.
• The state of AI in blockchain data – a panel with guests from Subsquid and Envio on the future of data in Web3.
• Builder’s Spotlight – what does it really take to be a Web3 DevRel? We asked Charlene from Camp Network.
